Music Review
Hulvey's album "Cry," is quite a journey to listen to. Right from the start, you can feel the dramatic sounds of instruments with soothing melodies of vocals. Some of his tracks are blended with choir type of vocals which makes the sounds of his songs sound dramatically bigger. The production is solid, blending different sounds that keep it engaging without overwhelming you.
One of the things I really appreciated about the album is how honest and relatable it feels. There are moments where it hits deep. He opens up about struggling relationships of love; the hunger for God; his all out relationship for God; and how God holds us up when we are in pain. These songs are relatable to every Christian hungering for God and wanting him to be magnified in life. It's refreshing to hear that vulnerability in music, especially in a world where everything often feels so polished and perfect.
Overall, I think "Cry" is a well-crafted album that showcases Hulvey's talent. It's definitely worth a listen if you're looking for something that resonates on a personal level. I found myself not just enjoying the music, but also reflecting on my own experiences while I listened. Definitely a solid album!
